Who is Hampton Roads Mutual Aid Network?

mission

The Hampton Roads Mutual Aid network is a volunteer-run network for folks who do mutual aid work throughout the 757 that began at Eleanor’s in January of 2022. It is an effort to bring together people who are doing grassroots work in order to build a coalition based on the shared values of mutual aid: direct action for collective liberation, education & empowerment, and cooperation among cooperatives.

about us

We have held monthly meet-ups, where we have been able to be in relationship with one another and build a broader network of direct aid workers, at Eleanor’s. Currently, we meet every second sunday at 4pm.

Beginning in 2025, the monthly meet-ups will alternate between the peninsula & the south side

Great! A lot of folks have come through interested in participating in direct action through creating avenues for food sovereignty, political actions, abolition, abortion access…the Hampton Roads Harm Reduction crew started at our monthly meet-ups because folks interested in working got together. We create the world we want.
